Meet Jillian Gardner Jillian Gardner has been riding bikes since she turned 4 years old, now thirteen; she is a promising Cat 4 woman racer. She has been around bike racing watching her dad, Jon Gardner, since she was born. They would go training together with the bike trailer and then on her own bike when she learned to ride. Jillian won the very first bike race she entered at the ripe old age of six. She has always been very competitive and has many awards for running as well as cycling; finishing as high as fourth at Junior Nationals. Her training has gone very good this year, good enough to be invited recently to a week-long Olympic development training camp in Wisconsin! Jillian has a long list of goals that we have no doubt she will achieve including beating her dad up Snowbird, winning a cat 3 men’s race, compete in the Olympics and racing professionally in Europe. She is a good student in school and has lots of friends. Jillian has extremely supportive parents who are very proud of her and plan to be watching her for many years to come right along with the rest of us. Go get ‘em Jillian! |
